Greece is Open to Tourists

Travellers entering Greece must have a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) completed up to one day before travel and be able to provide one of the following:

=> a vaccination certificate showing that 14 days have elapsed since full vaccination against Covid-19
=> a negative PCR test performed less than three days (72 hours) ago
=> a certificate stating that one has recovered from the coronavirus (between 2-9 months from the date of illness indicated on it and issued 30 days after the first positive examination by a public authority in accordance with the relevant legislation).

The following rules apply (updated: 16.07.2021)

The new rules for the hospitality and entertainment sector, including restaurants, cafés, bars, clubs and entertainment venues, will apply across Greece from Friday 16/07/2021 until 31. August

• Only seated customers (no dancing or standing at the bar) are allowed at entertainment venues indoors or outdoors.
• Indoor spaces (restaurants, cinemas and theatres, etc.) can only be operated as Covid-free venues and are operated with a capacity of 85 percent. “Covid-free” - meaning that admit only Covid-immunized customers, either through vaccination or the presence of antibodies from previous infection
• Indoor entertainment places, in particular, may only be operated as Covid-free venues with a coverage of up to 85 percent of the usable area in compliance with distance and protection rules.
• All indoor places of entertainments, both indoors and outdoors, must comply with the minimum distance rules applicable to catering.
  Owners of outdoor places ofentertainment can operate them as Covid-free areas.
• Minors may only enter Covid-free dining or entertainment facilities after they have passed a negative self-test, which is confirmed by a parent.

Dining
All hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars are operating, with strict safety protocols in place. For instance, there is a restriction on numbers in shops (according to their size and you are allowed up to 10 people per table in restaurants).

Beaches

- Beaches are open, with umbrellas spaced at least 4m apart and a maximum of two sunbeds per umbrella. You are not required to wear a mask on the beach.

Museums
outdoor archaeological sites and open-air cinemas are open (with capacity restrictions) and theatres and other live events are also now operating with strict safety protocols in place.

Masks
The wearing of non-medical face masks is compulsory indoors and outdoors throughout Greece. The restriction does not apply to:
- Persons for whom the wearing of a face mask is not recommended due to their documented medical condition, e.g. respiratory problems.
- Children under 6 years of age.
