If you are planning a trip from Vasiliki to Egremni Beach, please take note of recent changes. Following intense winter storms that caused a rockfall and severely damaged the staircase, we have an important update on the situation.

What is the current status?

Latest Update:

As many tourists have recently told us, the steps have now been cleared of the fallen stones and the bent railings. The repairs appear to have been carried out on a private initiative rather than by the municipality. To date, there has been no official statement from the authorities regarding the safety or structural integrity of these repairs.

Can I still visit?

While the path has been cleared, please exercise extreme caution if you choose to use the stairs, as they have not been formally inspected by city engineers. For the safest and most relaxing experience, we still highly recommend visiting via a boat trip from Vasiliki so you can enjoy Egremni’s famous turquoise waters directly from the sea.
